"DUNCS AND SEB GET YOU OFF YOUR HEAD"...January '08

Ramblings with Duncs and Seb - January 08

Here at Warwick Lacrosse we like to try and keep informed on the lives of some of our players. This month Duncs and Seb sat down for a chat about something for January ’s edition of "Duncs and Seb get you off your head".

The weather ( time debated - 11 mins )
It's rubbish...game's are getting cancelled all over the shop. Seb is particularly dissapointed because like many of us he left his shoes out at training when it tipped it down and they got soaked. In fact they were so filled with water that a couple of golodfish were found inside. Unfortunately there is no heating in 10B so they haven't dried yet. Suffice to say he's resorted to using a pair of old red converse shoes (not ideally styled - Duncs) that are not only uncomfortable but also are not very waterproof.
Our men's game with Keele has now been called off. Rubbish.

Monopoly ( time debated - 13 mins )
First off St Albans is the new Mayfair on the monopoly board and this entertaining game was pride of place in Seb's room after he received it for christmas. Unfortunately and we'll name no names here on "Rambliings" but Seb caught someone very close to him completely without clothing bending over the boxset (lifting the lid up and mistaking it for a toilet) disposing of nine pints worth of purple urine and in the process turning each six departments into a mouse sized swimming pool.
We pose the question to all Warwick Lacrosse players...whats the worst thing your other half has done to you? Oh and I suggest a whip round to provide Seb with a new monopoly set.

Aaron Fox's potential kidnapping ( time debated - 4 mins )
After deciding that fajita's would be a nice way to alleviate our hunger Aaron Fox departed for food. He's not back yet. We're worried. We're expecting a ransom note to slip under our door any minute.

Bass Six ( time debated -ongoing )
A new band formed by James Aris, Duncan Trenholme and Owain Rees specialising in average electro tunes. Seb has probably heard the song so many times that Lauren hears him singing it in his sleep. You can check out the song or so on either Owains or Duncans facebook. It's called "Solid State".

Stick Trix ( time debated - 7 mins )
Our resident men's captain and cool dude Seb Croft performed a 150 second long stick trix demo at the One World Week Launch Party. They performed alongside footballers and basketball players to celebrate the start of this exciting week of fun. They did it to a progressive trance song. Nice. Apparently the show is on video so we will try and get a copy up here sometime. Talking of one world week we've got a scrimmage game on Monday at 12 on the Tocil fields. Check it out. We'll probably get 10 goals each no doubt.

Desktop Backgrounds ( time debated - 3 mins )
There's been a bit of a mini competition going round Tocil to see who can get the hottest background. Michael Eyers has possibly won with a sexy pic of Jessica Alba...Owain Rees trumped out with a random hotty...but she is random....and Duncs has Elisha Cuthbert. Unfortunately he doesn' have a widescreen so can't put the girl on one side and have all the shortcuts on the other which is subtle and uniquely stylish. Oh and Seb...he's got a male snowboarder...and Alex Twiss....his girlfriend. How sweet.

The Assassination of Duncan Trenholme By The Coward Seb Croft (time debated- 3 hours including watching time)
Just got back from the cinema- first off, an epic film. Definately not about getting slated for something you thought you would get applauded for...then going down in history as a dick. Duncs says he'd get bored of riding horses around all day and only commiting two train robberies a year...but regardless we both now want to be train bandits. Both Duncs and Seb feel they've taken somewhat of a journey through watching that film, and see the world in a different fashion. Its also rare to have a good film with outstanding acting...Duncs calls attention to Brad Pitt's atmospheric chewing.

The Astronaut Farmer ( time debated - 7 mins )
Seb is rubbish...thanks Duncs...aside from that this is a truly bad film....enough said.
